Cytidine deaminase resolves replicative stress and protects pancreatic cancer from DNA-targeting drugs

We demonstrate that Cytidine Deaminase (CDA) is overexpressed in pancreatic cancer and plays a crucial role in resolving replicative stress. High CDA levels correlate with resistance to DNA-damaging drugs, suggesting that targeting CDA could sensitize pancreatic tumors to chemotherapy.
